New Patient FAQs at Randwick Dental Clinic
Your First Visit
When you visit Randwick Dental Clinic for the first time, one of the initial discoveries that you’ll make is how we tailor the new patient experience to be one that’s planned around the unique needs of our individual patients.
What is it that brings you to our office? Do you have a broken tooth? Are you due for a checkup and clean? When you first contact our team be sure to let us know what it is that you need from us as your oral health providers.
What to Expect
We ask that you arrive about 15 minutes early to complete all of the necessary new patient paperwork, including a medical history. If you take specific medications, let us know beforehand as we may need to discuss them with your healthcare provider first. When possible, it can also be useful to bring a copy of your most recent dental radiographs. Depending on the situation we may take a new radiograph of your teeth and/or jaw at the time of your new patient appointment.
Next, you’ll discuss your concerns with one of our providers and then we’ll perform an exam of the problem area or a more comprehensive evaluation of your overall teeth, gums and jaw. Having a trusting relationship and open communication between you and our dentists is key!
Because we are a prevention-focused practice, we recommend a scale and clean at least every six months. Should any restorative treatment be necessary, we’ll review the options available so that you can select the one most appropriate for your lifestyle and goals. Each patient receives a detailed treatment plan outlining the procedures and costs before any type of services are rendered.
